Privacy policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026.

Spellcue is a tabletop tool that is still in development. It is run by Samuel in the Netherlands. There is no registered company behind it yet; once there is, this policy will name it. For anything about your data, email [email protected].

We collect as little as we can, we never sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

The early-access waitlist

When you join the waitlist we store your email address and, if you fill them in, the number of players at your table and the number of screens you can use. We also note the language of the page you signed up on, so we write to you in that language.

We use your email address only to tell you about early access to Spellcue. The table details help us understand what setups Dungeon Masters have. The legal basis is your consent; you can withdraw it at any time by replying to one of our emails or emailing us, and we will remove you from the list.

We keep your details until you ask us to remove them or until we close the waitlist, whichever comes first.

The contact form

When you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message by email. We use them only to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to the questions people send us. We keep the message as long as we need it to help you and handle any follow-up.

Analytics, only if you allow it

If you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from and which device and browser they use. Nothing is loaded before you choose, and nothing at all if you decline.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google may process this data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent, which you can change at any time through "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Our cookie statement lists the cookies involved.

During your visit the site also remembers which link or campaign brought you here, so that information can be added to the analytics you allowed. It is kept in your session only and disappears when the session ends.

Server logs

Like every website, our server records technical details of requests, such as your IP address, the page you asked for, the time and your browser. We need these to keep the site running and secure, for example to stop abuse of the forms. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working, safe website. Logs are kept briefly and deleted automatically.

Who else sees your data

Only the parties we need to run the site, each on our instructions:

  • the company that hosts our server, which stores the waitlist and the logs
  • the email provider that delivers contact-form messages to us and sends our emails to you
  • Google, for analytics, but only if you accepted analytics cookies

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it or to hand it over in a common format. You can also object to how we use it and withdraw your consent at any time. Email [email protected] and we will answer within one month.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or the authority in your own country.

Security and age

The site is only served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only the person running Spellcue can access the waitlist.

The waitlist is meant for people aged 16 or older. If you are younger, please do not sign up.

Changes to this policy

When Spellcue changes, for example when it goes on sale or a company is registered, we update this policy and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use the email address you already gave us, we will tell you by email first.
