Cookie statement

Last updated: 10 October 2026.

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This site uses as few as it can. Cookies that are needed for the site to work are always on; everything else waits for your choice in the cookie banner.

Necessary cookies (always on)

These keep the site working and safe. They contain no tracking and are never shared.

  • spellcue-session: keeps your visit together, for example the language you chose and the answer after you send a form. Deleted 120 minutes after your last click.
  • XSRF-TOKEN: protects the forms against submissions forged by other sites. Same lifetime as the session.
  • cookie_consent: remembers your cookie choice, so the banner does not ask again. Kept for 180 days.

Analytics cookies (only if you allow them)

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 sets these cookies to count visits and see how the site is used. Our privacy policy explains what is collected.

  • _ga: tells visits from different browsers apart. Kept for 2 years.
  • _ga_<id>: keeps track of the current visit. Kept for 2 years.

Marketing cookies (only if you allow them)

If the banner offers a marketing choice and you accept it, Google may use cookies to measure whether an ad brought you to this site. Spellcue does not run ads at the moment, so in practice nothing is measured this way.

Changing your choice

Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to change or withdraw your choice. When you withdraw consent, the site removes the analytics cookies it set. You can also delete cookies at any time in your browser settings; the site keeps working, it just asks for your choice again.
